The tour starts at Rotorua Canopy tours headquarters for a safety briefing and harness fitting before being transported on a short entertaining drive from Rotorua to deep into the 500 hectare Department of Conservation forest that has stood for centuries. A 400 metre walk through the forest takes you to the first launch platform, allowing for time to stop and take a deep breath as you listen to the beautiful orchestral sound of native bird song resonating throughout the forest.
This 3 Hour adventure travels along a 1.2 kilometre network of ziplines (flying fox), swing bridges, tree top platforms and walking trails deep into this virgin New Zealand nativeforest. In between the thrill of the ziplines and the suspended tree bridges your guides will share their passion and knowledge of the history of the forest and the conservation challenges to maintain the forests natural environment.
