You can wander at your leisure or join us for one of our guided tours, experiencing and learning about pre-European Maori life in Te Hana’s Te Ao Marama 17th Century Maori Village, as you travel through the village with your host with stories and legends of into times of the past giving an insight into pre-European Maori life within a fortified village (Papakainga and Pa) experiencing the scale of early strong fortifications and tall fighting towers, also witnessing the intricacies of typical Maori living on the Kaipra Harbour.
