Queenstown’s guided canoe and raft tours have been created for those seeking a relaxed and scenic water adventure.
This guided tour is at a relaxed pace as you literally ‘go with the flow’ and soak up the scenery along this beautiful stretch of the Kawarau River with the Remarkable Mountains as your backdrop.
Float/paddle down this picturesque river in a raft or inflatable canoe with an experienced guide accompanying the trip while you take in the scenery and views, as you experience 7kms of a stretch of river that starts at the confluence of the Shotover and Kawarau Rivers and finishes at the historic Morven Ferry site where you are transfered back to town.
Your trip package includes transport from town, life jackets and experienced guides. You will need to wear comfortable clothes suited to the weather on the day and shoes that can get wet. You may bring along sunscreen, hat and sunglasses (these items are pretty essential if it’s a sunny day). Cameras are optional at your own risk. No experience is necessary and non-swimmers are welcome in the canoes or rafts. Note: minimum age is 4 years and children under 10 must be accompanied by an adult in the same craft.
