Part of our wider whanau (family), our Kahukiwi guides are leaders in cultural storytelling, they’ll show you where our tupuna (ancestors) lived, tell you the stories of years gone by, and share with you what makes our culture and way of life so unique.

Enjoy a complimentary hotel pickup from your centrally located Rotorua accommodation to our starting point at the famous historical Rotorua Museum.

Before we journey, take part in a short safety briefing and get some local knowledge of the historical significance of the Museum and the Fenton Agreement.

Then, you’ll be ready for your 3-hour guided tour to our whenua (land) Pukahukiwi, hosted by our wonderful Maori guide.

Our place, is located on the shores of beautiful Lake Te Roto-Whaiti-i-kite-ai-a-Ihenga-i-Ariki-ai-a Kahumatamoemoe (Lake Rotoiti), adjacent to the Okere River, where we belong.
