SkyTrek offers a free courtesy shuttle departing from outside The Station Building, Queenstown.
Summer flights: Allow approximately 1.5 hours
Winter flights: Allow 2 hours (includes chairlift time)
Yes! Friends or family not flying are welcome to come along in the courtesy shuttle and enjoy the views from the launch site—space permitting.

In winter, flights launch from the top of Coronet Peak.
SkyTrek Queenstown does not operate in May and early June while the ski field is closed. Flights resume mid-June and run through to the end of April.
SkyTrek Wānaka operates year-round.
Your tandem flight begins with a safety briefing before launching from Coronet Peak at around 4,000 feet. Guided by an experienced pilot, you’ll soar above Queenstown, Lake Wakatipu and the surrounding Southern Alps. You can choose between hang gliding or paragliding, with optional photo and video packages available after your flight.
Yes. Participants must complete a waiver, declare any relevant medical conditions, and meet weight limits — up to 120kg for paragliding and 100kg for hang gliding. Flights are generally suitable for ages 4 to 90. Pregnant guests may only fly on paragliding flights during the first 20 weeks of pregnancy.
Yes. Friends and family are welcome to join the courtesy shuttle and enjoy the spectacular views from the launch site at Coronet Peak, subject to space availability.
We recommend warm layers and comfortable, secure footwear. Conditions can be cooler at higher altitude, and jackets are available on request if needed.
Flights run daily from September to April. Winter flights may also be available from the top of Coronet Peak via chairlift, depending on conditions. Flights do not operate when the ski field is closed during seasonal transitions.
