Our photo safaris take you to the special places that are inspiring taking you on an adventure where you can capture your own vision, guiding you to Martin’s favourite locations and help you with creative and compositional advice to get the most out your camera, taking you there in 4WD comfort and we will help you capture images you will treasure.

Half Day Queenstown Photography Tour

With around five hours for our half day photography tour we’ll take you to some of our most interesting and beautiful destinations around Queenstown. It’s up to you whether you want to shoot a collection of iconic scenes or exercise your creativity exploring a smaller number of locations in more depth.

This is your chance to photograph one of the most spectacular and majestic places on Earth; Queenstown and the Southern Lakes. Our tour takes photography lovers to the iconic locations you see in brochures as well as those special spots only a local would know, to explore and capture the beauty and splendour for yourself. Martin your guide is a passionate landscape photographer, with years of local knowledge. Our half day tour gives us 4-5 hours to take you to some of our most interesting and beautiful destinations close to Queenstown. You will get to shoot some of our most iconic scenes or concentrate on creatively exploring a smaller range of locations in depth. Martin will help you with creative advice and show you how to get the most from your camera.

Our itineraries are varied and flexible, and designed around your interests, the weather and light conditions designed to maximize the time spent photographing.

Queenstown & Southern Lakes Full Day Photography Tour

Our all day photo tours give you lots of time so we can take you to some of our most well known and iconic locations around Queenstown and the Southern Lakes of the stunning South Island of New Zealand. Places like Glenorchy/Paradise, the Dart River, Arrowtown or Skippers Canyon, or some of our own favorite spots – Kingston, the Mataura Valley, the Nevis and Mavora lakes.

Full days are great for taking your time and really exploring the creative and photographic options. Our tour itineraries are varied and flexible, designed to maximise the time spent photographing. We can also design a photo tour around a theme or to take in your special requests.

This full day tour starts when we pick you up at your, Queenstown, Frankton or Arrowtown accommodation. We head straight out to a high vantage point like Skippers Saddle, near Queenstown, to catch the early morning light and spectacular views. Here you will gain a great overview of Queenstown and the Wakatipu Basin; Frankton and Arrowtown, the great Lake Wakatipu, the Remarkables Range and Coronet Peak. This is a chance for our guide to get to know you and your photography level. We discuss destination options, your preferences, the weather and light and pick a direction to head for the day on a One on One Photography Tour Queenstown Region

You might have a bucket list of places and sights you would like to capture or a theme you would like to follow. Maybe you want to explore old buildings and the gold mining heritage of Queenstown and Central Otago, check out our wine region, capture amazing vistas from the highest points or get in close to a wild river or a mossy beech forest. Of course you can always leave the itinerary up to your guide. He’ll know where to find views to take your breath away.

Photography can be great with friends or a group, giving you the opportunity to compare and learn from each other. Sometimes though, you want to do your own thing and get lots of individual help and advice. All our photo tours are available on an individual basis. Your guide will take you to the beautiful and spectacular places he knows so well and he’ll work with you to bring home a collection of inspiring and memorable photos.
