Departs: Shotover Jet operates 7 days a week with multiple departures throughout the day between 10 am and 4 pm.(Choose time when booking)
Duration: 25 Minutes approx – However, including check-in and preparation, the total experience is around 1 hour.
Given the popularity of Shotover Jet, especially during peak seasons, it’s advisable to book in advance to secure preferred times.

The Shotover Canyon cliffs tower over you, your skilled driver takes the state-of-the-art Big Red Jet Boat through its paces. Your driver will whip the powerful boat past rocky outcrops, skim over crags and rocks, and zoom through the stunning and narrow gorges at up to 90kph, along with the famous 360-degree spins.
N.B. You will need to be at Shotover Jet at least 30 minutes before your scheduled departure. Shotover Jet is located at Arthurs Point, 7 km from Queenstown. There is plenty of car parking at our base. Location Map
For safety reasons, the use of handheld personal cameras and video cameras is not permitted aboard the jet boats. Eyewear (sunglasses/glasses) is recommended year-round. Waterproof jackets or raincoats, warm clothes, hats, and gloves are strongly recommended in winter
Complimentary transport from Queenstown is available for selected hourly departures (10am, 11am, 12pm, 2pm, 3pm). You must contact Shotover Jet to confirm your space on the shuttle as seats are limited.
If you are taking the shuttle, you should check-in at the Shotover Jet desk inside the Station Building Queenstown, 45 minutes prior to your jet boat departure time. The round-trip experience with transport is approximately 1 hour 45 minutes.
