1. How old do you have to be to skydive?
You must be at least 16 years old. Anyone under 18 will need signed parental or guardian consent.
2. Is there a weight limit for tandem skydiving?
Yes. The maximum weight is 100kg (including clothing and footwear). All customers are weighed before check-in.
3. What should I wear for the jump?
Wear comfortable clothes and closed-toe shoes. Jumpsuits and goggles are provided — including over-glasses goggles if needed.
4. Can I bring friends or family to watch?
Absolutely! Spectators are welcome at the dropzone and can watch you land right in front of them.
5. What’s the difference between the 12,000 ft and 15,000 ft jump?
The higher you go, the longer the freefall. 15,000 ft gives you up to 60 seconds of freefall compared to 45 seconds from 12,000 ft.
6. Are photo and video packages available?
Yes — you can capture every moment with a choice of video and photo packages taken by your instructor or a dedicated camera flyer.
7. What if the weather is bad on the day?
Skydive Tauranga monitors weather closely. If conditions are unsafe, you’ll be rescheduled at no extra cost or offered a refund.
