Your half-day tour begins with pick up from your Blenheim accommodation by comfortable minivan. Set out to explore the Marlborough wine region and admire the views as you drive through the rolling vineyards. Stop along the way to visit four of Marlborough’s best wineries, soak up the scenery as you stroll through the vineyards, and learn more about New Zealand wine as you sample a variety of Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Noir, Pinot Gris and Riesling wines. One of your cellar door stops you will get to enjoy lunch from one of our fine winery restaurants (at your expense). After a thorough introduction to New Zealand wine, your tour ends with drop-off at your hotel around 2.30pm.

Traveling by comfortable minivan, set out to explore the Marlborough wine region and admire the views as you drive through the rolling vineyards as your guide shares informative commentary about the region and about the vines and winemaking in Marlborough.
Stop along the way to visit four of Marlborough’s best wineries, soak up the scenery as you stroll through the vineyards, and learn more about New Zealand wine as you sample a variety of Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Noir, Pinot Gris and Riesling wines. Marlborough Wine Tours – Full-Day Marlborough Wine Tasting Tour

Wonderfully suited for those with little knowledge about wine, but are keen to learn more, this 6-hour tour will be the perfect day out for you. This tour starts with a pick up from your hotel in Picton, Blenheim, or Havelock. During the day your tour guide will take you for a ‘vineyard walk and talk’ and answer any questions you have. This tour is presented in a relaxed and informative manner where selective tasting is the order of the day. The tour includes a stop for lunch (cost not included) with several lunch options available. Throughout the day you will visit 5-6 cellar doors and taste some superb Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Gris, Riesling and Pinot Noir as well as some lesser known varieties from the area and the day concludes at the Boutique Chocolate Factory – a perfect ending to a perfect day!

In the morning enjoy a scenic cruise through the Queen Charlotte Sound, aboard a catamaran and get to see the historic Ship Cove, where Captain Cook anchored way back in 1770. Returning to shore around 12.30pm, you will then be taken to a winery to have a single main course lunch with a glass of wine of your choice. After lunch you will get to visit a couple more wineries with a chance to try some more of the wines produced here. If you want to experience the cellar doors of Marlborough at your own pace on your own this is the perfect way to do it. We work with you to plan the perfect day out, visiting the best cellar doors, and ensuring you get a great experience. You will be driven around in our comfy Mercedes Sedan and be looked after for the entire day. Standard tasting fees are included in the tour cost, lunch at your expense or book your 2 course lunch and wine at booking to save any hassle on the day.
Your private tour picks you up at your accommodation in Picton or Blenheim – you choose the start time and any cellar doors you want to visit or let us fully guide you to experience a great day out in Marlborough. The standard tasting fees for up to 6 cellar doors are included in the cost of the tour.

Marlborough Wine Tours – Exceptional Extras Gold

Price: $400 Per person (minimum 2 for tour to run)
Tour Starts: 9:00 am
Duration: 6 hours

Your tour guide will pick you up from your accommodation and your day will start by being taken to a boutique winery for a tasting. After enjoying and savouring this tasting your journey will continue onto a wine blending experience. Here you can become your own winemaker for a while. Your cellar door host will take you on a vineyard and barrel room tour and then through the wine process including, weather, soil and an insight into viticulture, before rolling up your sleeves and blending your own Pinot Noir or Sauvignon Blanc (varietal availability dependant). You will then travel across the valley for your leisurely food and wine match, 3 course lunch at a winery with a stunning view across the valley. After a relaxing lunch we wind up your day with a few more tastings at cellar doors that meet your wine tastes and chocolates to top it off.
