Roaring Wine Tours offers Central Otago’s most boutique wine tour experience. From Bannockburn to Alexandra, you will visit the region’s smallest wineries and meet the eccentric personalities behind the wines.

Your tour takes a relaxed pace with plenty of time to enjoy the free tastings of award-winning wines at each stop. You’ll learn a little about the rich gold history of the region too.

We are a small business owned and operated by wine lovers. We put wine first, which is why our guides are qualified and experienced wine industry professionals. We believe that the romance of wine is best experienced with fewer people, which is why our tour group sizes are smaller than most and offer a more intimate wine-tasting experience.

Roaring Wine Tours – Cheetah Tour – Half Day From Cromwell

A sprinting tour of Cromwell, Bannockburn and Pisa’s wineries and vineyards.

The Wine Tour Experience

Strapped for time but desperate to taste some delicious wine? This is the tour for you.

Your day begins when you are picked up from Cromwell by your Roaring Tours guide.

From there you are taken to 3 wineries in the Cromwell basin with light snacks provided. After the day is done, you will be dropped back off at your accommodation in Cromwell.

Please bring appropriate clothing for the day

Tour Starts:   10:30 am Pick up from Queenstown, Wanaka & Cromwell
Tour Duration: 6 Hours approx

A lazy day of wine tasting under the Central Otago sun.

From Queenstown to Cromwell to Alexandra, you will see more of Central Otago on the Lion Tour.

The Wine Tour Experience

Your day begins when you are picked up from your accommodation by your Roaring Tours guide. 

From there you are taken to your first winery in Bannockburn where you will taste a large variety of wines and styles. After you have been to your first winery, your guide will have a good idea of the wines that best suit your palate and will plan the rest of the days wineries to suit.

In the middle of your tour, you will stop for a delicious platter lunch and one of the region’s best restaurants before heading out to Alexandra for more tastings.

After the day is done, you will be dropped back at your accommodation or other selected destination.

The Wine Tour Experience

Your day begins when you are picked up from your accommodation by your Roaring Tours guide. From there you are taken to your first winery in Bannockburn where you will taste a large variety of wines and styles. 

After you have been to your first winery, your guide will have a good idea of the wines that best suit your palate and will plan the rest of the days tastings to suit.

Your tour will take you to some of the regions boutique wineries where you will be taken through personal tastings.

In the middle of your tour, you will stop for a delicious a la carte lunch and a glass of wine at one of the region’s best restaurants before heading out for more tastings.
