Our staff will provide you with a lifejacket and give you a short safety briefing before sending you out into Queenstown Bay. If you have no experience do not worry as we will show you the basics of kayaking before letting you practice your new skills on the water.

Yes. Our guided tours are designed for first-time paddlers and non-swimmers. We provide fitted PFDs (lifejackets), a clear on-land safety briefing, and on-water support from experienced guides throughout the trip.
Bring a cellphone, camera, sun protection (hat, sunglasses, sunscreen), towel and swimwear, a full water bottle, suitable footwear (sandals/jandals/flip flops), and warm layers. Avoid jeans and heavy cotton; quick-dry fabrics are best.
Choose our Freedom Hire: single/double kayaks or stand-up paddleboards. We’ll provide a brief on technique and safety, recommend scenic routes around Queenstown Bay/Lake Wakatipu, and you can paddle at your own pace—perfect for a relaxed picnic stop.
