Meeting Point & Timing

Please arrive at least 10 minutes prior to the meeting time at the Rotorua Information Centre.
Allow approximately 5 hours for the round trip, including travel time to and from Rotorua.

Weather Policy

We will notify you in advance if weather conditions are unsuitable for the tour. However, if regulations allow, the tour will proceed.
Mother Nature sometimes wins, but we’ll do our best to ensure your adventure is safe and enjoyable.

Age & Supervision

Suitable for participants aged 5 years and above.
Guests aged 16 years and under must be accompanied by a responsible adult aged 18 years or older.

Kayak Information

We use two-person sit-on-top kayaks, with a combined weight limit of 220kg per kayak.

What to bring:

To ensure a comfortable and enjoyable experience, we recommend bringing the following:
- A towel
- Bottled water
- A packed lunch (optional; food is also available for purchase at the Waimangu Café).
- Credit card, cash, or EFTPOS for food and drinks at the café.
- A waterproof camera (carried at your own risk).
- Clothing appropriate for the season:
  - Summer (November to March): Quick-drying exercise clothing and a warm jumper.
  - Winter (April to October): Pants/leggings for the lower half and at least three layers for the upper half (thermal, fleece, or wool).
- A rain jacket if rain is expected.
- Optional: A change of clothes (just in case).
