Your Canoe trip starts at the base of the historic Waiau Ferry bridge where you will meet your guide who will kit you out in your safety gear equipped with wetsuit, booties, helmet, and life jacket following with a safety briefing and paddling techniques needed for the days excursion, This guided tour is suitable for people of all ages and skill levels ( N.B. Children must be able to fit the safety gear to participate )

Following the safety brief it’s time to hop into your inflatable canoe and get on the water as we venture out and explore the clear mountain river that winds through the scenic Waiau Gorge a stunning natural environment of Hanmer Springs.
