You can choose from half-day inshore trips for a taste of fishing or full-day charters that venture deep into Auckland’s stunning Hauraki Gulf (from Great Barrier Island to Coromandel and everywhere in between) to chase gannet and dolphin work-ups while fishing for big Snapper and hard-hitting Kingfish.
There is no better way to spend a day than on one of our several “Island Explorer” tours, which include sightseeing and fishing on some of the most stunning islands in the Gulf.

This is an exclusive long-range, high-speed fishing charter for you and your friends to target work-up fishing! Heading deep into Auckland’s stunning Hauraki Gulf, towards anywhere from Great Barrier, Coromandel and everywhere in between, you will be chasing work-ups with big snapper and hard-hitting kingies the target species!
More often than not these work-ups attract dolphins and sometimes even breaching whales to view along the way!
This exclusive eight or ten hour charter will cater to your private group so the plan for the day is designed with you!

Koru is perfectly set-up for large group fishing charters with ample fishing space (suitable for up to 25 people fishing at once) on the lower deck, plus a great upper deck to kick back, relax and enjoy Auckland’s stunning backyard!
Throw in the large BBQ, practical kitchen space, and our friendly crew, and you truly have the best option available for a large fishing charter group in Auckland!

If you are short on time, or want to keep costs down, booking a private inshore charter allows you to explore the Hauraki Gulf and take in some incredible fishing without travelling too far.
This is an exclusive fishing charter for you and your friends to get out and explore the inner Hauraki Gulf, and test yourself against the healthy and famous snapper population (as well as other bonus species)!
Auckland is blessed to have such an amazing back yard and amongst other wonderful sights and sounds, more often than not you’ll come across pods of dolphins plus the odd whale from time to time.
What to Bring on Your Fishing Charter
- Sunglasses, sunscreen, a warm jacket and a hat – the weather can change quickly at sea so come prepared;
- Lunch and a drink (if you have not booked a catered Charter);
- Rod and tackle (if you have not booked rental gear or an all inclusive Charter); and
- Your sense of adventure and a smile!
