Your Dining Experience aboard the Christchurch Tramway Restaurant:
Start your 2.5-hour dinner tour of Christchurch from Cathedral Junction, where you’ll board the beautifully restored Christchurch Tramway. Professional waitstaff take you to your 2-person or 4-person table in the air-conditioned tramcar restaurant, which holds a maximum of 36 guests. You’re served a welcome drink, followed by a 4-course meal prepared with a seasonal menu (see sample in Itinerary below). Coffee and tea service accompanies dessert, and alcoholic drinks are available to purchase. Relax as you dine, chat with your companions and take in the sights of central Christchurch. After dinner, the tram makes its way back to Cathedral Junction where your tour ends.

The Christchurch Tramway Restaurant Dinner Tour departs daily from Tram Stop number 1, Cathedral Junction at 7.00 pm March – October and at 7:30pm November – February. Report time is 10 minutes prior to departure.

This is a very popular tour so advanced reservations are essential.

Please ensure you advise us of any special dietary requirements at least 72 hours in advance: you can add a comment to your booking when making a reservation online, or you can speak to our staff when booking over the phone.
The average pitch of our seats is 33 centimetres from the back of the seat to the edge of the table. Please note that our tables and chairs are fixed in place due to being on a moving vehicle.
