MTG Hawke’s Bay Museum

Located on Marine Parade, MTG Hawke’s Bay is one of Napier’s leading cultural attractions, combining a museum, theatre and art gallery in one modern waterfront building. Explore fascinating exhibitions covering the region’s Māori heritage, the devastating 1931 Hawke’s Bay earthquake, Art Deco history and changing art displays. Entry to the main galleries is free, although some special exhibitions, theatre performances and ticketed events may incur an admission charge. It’s an excellent stop on a wet day or while exploring central Napier.

National Tobacco Company Building

Located in Ahuriri, this beautifully preserved Art Deco and Art Nouveau landmark is regarded as one of New Zealand’s finest heritage buildings. Even if you’re simply admiring the exterior, it’s a favourite stop for photographers and architecture enthusiasts exploring Napier.
