The Leaning and Tumbling Towers are immediately apparent on arrival at Puzzling World, with the Leaning Tower of Wanaka balanced on its corner at 53 degrees.

The Great Maze is a modern style maze offering 1.5km of passages providing intrigue and challenge to people of all ages. Providing 1/2 an hour to an hours enjoyment what a sense of achievement when you finally complete this tricky puzzle.

The Hologram Hall leads you to a number of illusion rooms and here you will find some amazing 3-D holograms that will keep you coming back for more.

The Hall of Following Faces houses 168 giant models of famous faces which follow you left, right, up and down as you wander around the room, a very unique encounter.

The Ames Room is a forced perspective room, a technique that was used in the Lord of the Rings film to create tall and short people. When viewed from outside through the window the room looks totally normal whereas in fact the shape of the room is totally distorted.

The Sculptillusion Gallery the newest and largest Illusion Room is themed around an illusionary sculpture garden where visitors wander amongst over 20 large exhibits, displays and murals seeing visual trickery at its very best. Living walls, ‘impossible’ objects and floor-to-ceiling trickery showcases some of New Zealand’s finest artists.

The Tilted House is tilted at an an angle of 15 degrees and although all the displays inthe room are normal, your brain is convinced that it cannot possibly be sloping so as the room must be straight all the displays must be hung at impossible angles.

Enjoy tables and tables of puzzling things to try in the Puzzle Centre & Cafe, while our friendly staff are on hand to demonstrate and help you if you get stuck. Don’t forget to look up at the ceiling which looks like a giant Kaleidoscope.
