Matthews Vintage Cars and machinery collection is a locally and privately owned museum with a unique and comprehensive collection of vintage cars, tractors, fire trucks and stationary working engines.  Accumulated and lovingly restored by an avid vintage enthusiast over the last 40 years, the under cover display area covers over 1100 sq.ms.

As you take a trip down memory lane enjoy the large collection of historical artifacts that offer an insight into New Zealand history, showcasing the best in vintage memorabilia, some of which have been used and owned by the Mathews family over the past century.

Matthews Vintage Collection holds everything from traditional farming, household and pioneering appliances to a stunning collection of vintage cars and machinery used within New Zealand and dating back to the early 1900’s. Also included is an extensive range of ‘Farmall Tractors’ as well as a range of other makes and models that cover a period from the 1920’s to the 1950’s

The large selection of vintage cars includes Nashs, Chevrolets and a Singer Roadster amongst others. The collection also includes a wide range of stationary engines all in working order including Tangyes, Wolseleys, Andersons, Listers, Bamford etc.

Relax in this rural setting and enjoy the friendly hospitality of Win Mathews meandering around the gardens, surrounded by bird averies, friendly ostriches, sheep and peacocks and other friendly farm animals
