We will mix pristine natural landscape with wall-to-wall canyon action from start to finish. Hold on tight as we do our famous 360-degree spins again!
Speed is the name of the game with our boats. With high-performance V8 twin engines, we take you through our Canyons. We ride the rapids and do gravity-defying stunts right next to the cliffs. They can go up to 90 kilometres per hour in water as little as 10 centimetres deep.
Shotover Jet is part of what makes New Zealand so unique. It combines the classic New Zealand Jet Boat invention with the kiwi adventure culture. Visiting Queenstown is a great way to see beautiful scenery, learn about New Zealand’s history, and have a lot of fun. Your adrenaline levels skyrocket the instant the accelerator touches the floor. You’ll race through the water as shallow as 10cm deep, along the famed Shotover River and deep into the Shotover River Canyons.
s the Shotover Canyon cliffs tower over you, your skilled driver takes the state-of-the-art Big Red Jet Boat through its paces. Your driver will whip the powerful boat past rocky outcrops, skim over crags and rocks, and zoom through the stunning and narrow gorges at up to 90kph, along with the famous 360-degree spins.
N.B. You will need to be at Shotover Jet at least 30 minutes before your scheduled departure. Shotover Jet is located at Arthurs Point, 7km from Queenstown. There is plenty of car parking at our base. Location Map
Complimentary transport from Queenstown is available for selected hourly departures (10am, 11am, 12pm, 2pm, 3pm). You must contact Shotover Jet to confirm your space on the shuttle as seats are limited.
If you are taking the shuttle, you should check-in at the Shotover Jet desk inside the Station Building Queenstown, 45 minutes prior to your jet boat departure time. The round-trip experience with transport is approximately 1 hour 45 minutes.
