EcoZip Adventures on Waiheke Island provides state-of-the-art flying fox ziplines and an eco-immersive forest trek for nature enthusiasts of all ages.

You’ll get the entire Waiheke experience, including gratis pick-up from the island boat and drop-off at a variety of sites.

When you arrive, you’ll notice that the site’s long-range views are magnificent, and the site’s unique dual ziplines allow you to share this fantastic experience with your friends or family.

Your Zipline Adventure begins with a flight above a vineyard, followed by a flight through stunning native New Zealand forest, a very unique and fairly great experience. Finally, in terms of technology, New Zealand’s ZipStop system is the world’s most advanced zipline braking system.

The 3-hour EcoZip Adventures experience* takes you on a journey of discovery on the picturesque Waiheke Island, located just a 35-minute boat from downtown Auckland. The Lonely Planet dubbed it “the playground of the gods,” while TripAdvisor proclaimed it “a must-see.” Let us pick you up at the ferry port, or from a variety of other locations, and we’ll show you the island’s best attractions.

Take a ride on one of our unique ziplines once you arrive at EcoZip HQ, which is perched high over the glittering Hauraki Gulf and towards Auckland City. Fly side-by-side with a companion in an exciting shared experience thanks to twin lines that are over 200 metres long. You’ll soar above a functioning vineyard and a lush, old forest canopy on three distinct lines, taking in breathtaking views of the city and beyond.

A spectacular guided nature walk follows your ziplining adventure, taking you through ancient, majestic trees and a treasury of Maori mythology and stories. When you come to EcoZip Adventures to see skinks, wetas, eels, and glow worms, you’re doing your part to help keep this wonderful SEE in tact.

The experience may be completed in 2 hours onsite or 3 hours if you use our complimentary pick-up and highlights tour service, both of which are offered from a limited number of locations.

A minimum of one ziplining adult must accompany all children under the age of 16.

This full-day package includes all of Waiheke’s best attractions.

Take Fuller 360 from downtown Auckland to Matiatia on Waiheke Island, where the Ecozip shuttle will pick you up. After three thrilling zipline rides, you will be accompanied on a 30-minute bush trek back to the peak, from where a shuttle will transport you to the airfield.

In a Cessna 172 aeroplane, the most widely used aircraft in history, you will experience flying like never before. As you lift off, you will get mesmerised by the breathtaking coastlines under you. After these activities, you will be ready for a three-course lunch with a glass of wine or wine tasting at one of the island’s finest vineyards/restaurants. You may either unwind in the vineyard or wander to one of the island’s renowned beaches.

At the conclusion of the day, a boat will transport you back to Auckland. This package is a fantastic opportunity to relax and escape the hustle and bustle of the city.
