Embark on a journey of discovery on beautiful Waiheke Island, located just a 35 minute cruise from downtown Auckland, with the 3-hour EcoZip Adventures experience*. On arriving at EcoZip HQ – located high on a hill with spectacular sea views over the sparkling Hauraki Gulf and toward Auckland City – take to the skies on our unique ziplines. With dual cables each over 200m long, fly side-by-side a friend in an unforgettable shared experience. Across 3 separate lines, you’ll zip high above a working vineyard and lush, ancient forest canopy, soaking up incredible views back to the city and beyond.
Your ziplining adventure is followed by a magical guided nature walk, where you’ll discover ancient, stately trees and a treasure-trove of stories and Maori legends. Home to skinks, weta, eels, and glow-worms, your visit to EcoZip Adventures helps to preserve and restore this beautiful Site of Environmental Significance.
*Complimentary pick up and drop off is available from selected locations, please allow 2 hours onsite to complete the experience and 3 hours if you’re using our pick-up and highlights tour service.

(Please note: Departure and duration times are the time we pick you up from Matiatia Wharf, Waiheke Island and do not include time on ferry).
Your Waiheke EV adventure starts at the iconic Ferry building in downtown Auckland.
You’ll have a beautiful 40-minute journey to the port of Matiatia where you will be welcomed by one of our Kiwi Tuk Tuk Team.
You will then embark on a scenic tour of the Island with just the two of you. It’s personal, private and intimate with your own personal guide taking in some breath-taking views from Ocean view road and Little Oneroa beach (plenty of photo opportunities) whilst we whisk you along with the breeze in your hair in our open air Electric tuk tuks making our way to Eco Zip Adventures.
Here, in the company of a small group of guests and two of EcoZip’s expert guides, you’ll experience EcoZip’s award-winning zipline and native forest experience, with its 3x twin zip-lines and an amazing 30-minute guided walk through the native forest back to EcoZip base.
By now you will be getting a little thirsty and ready for lunch at one of Waiheke’s premier Vineyards, Stonyridge winery – home of the famous LaRose wine, and one of the oldest wineries on the island. Here you will taste the beautiful wines from its famous cellar and enjoy a leisurely lunch at this picturesque winery set amongst olive trees.
You’ll then head to one of Mudbrick, one of Waiheke’s premier vineyards for further wine tasting and taking in the stunning views across the Hauraki Gulf.
After lunch we can drop you back to the Matiatia Ferry for your journey back to Auckland or we can take you to Oneroa where you can relax and browse through this little gem’s boutique shops and have a drink in some in a great selection of cafes & bars at your leisure.
