Therefore, for an amazing sailing adventure, accompany us on this exhilarating adventure, take the helm, raise the sails, or climb the rigging, relax on our vast deck with freshly made scones from the kitchen, and have a midday dip in one of the numerous protected coves. Our pleasant and knowledgeable staff will share stories about this beautiful location and will feed you a delectable BBQ meal on board.

Join our 4pm Afternoon Sundowner Sailing tour for a fantastic way to conclude the day. You’ll get to enjoy this unique tall ship voyage across the inner Bay of Islands. We do planned trips on Fridays, Sundays, and Wednesdays and will accommodate parties of 25 or more on other days.

This short sundowner sail aboard the tall ship R.Tucker Thompson is ideal for those who lack the time for a full day in the Bay but still want to experience a unique tall ship experience. The voyage, which departs from Russell wharf at 4.00pm, is a leisurely sail along the inner bay, passing past the areas of Paihia and Waitangi.

Additionally, the R.Tucker Thompson can accommodate up to 47 guests for private gatherings and weddings. For a wedding you will never forget while cruising the gorgeous Bay of Islands, let our friendly crew take care of all of your special day’s needs.
