From the whanau of Waka Abel Tasman, we would like to welcome you and your class to a cultural adventure that begins on the golden shores of Kaiteretere and is engaging and enjoyable.

We are a local, whanau-operated, Māori enterprise with a genuine desire to share with our manuhiri (guests) a little of the rich cultural legacy related to maritime travel. Our beliefs are deeply rooted in the kaupapa Māori worldview. Therefore, it is essential to us that you and your āKonga (students) feel at ease, connected, and inspired. We look forwards to offering manaakitanga (hospitality) to your group and taking your pupils through the awe-inspiring educational experience that awaits them in the takutai moana (marine environment).
