Queenstown Trail – Bike The Wineries Half Day  (Self Guided Tour)

Price:  $90 per person Child:  $70 pp (aged 5 to 14) : $50/E-bike upgrade
Pick up timings:  Departs Queenstown 12:00 Noon
Duration: 4 Hours

This half-day, self-guided ride begins with a shuttle from our shop (3 Searle Lane, Queenstown) out to our base at Arrow Junction. After bike fitting, you’ll be given a trail map with details of where to find of all of the wineries. The first section of the ride is on a scenic bike trail, crossing over a suspension bridge, before you arrive at the Kawarau Bungy Bridge, the gateway to the majestic Gibbston Wine Valley.
 
From there, visit as many of the cellar doors as you wish, all linked by a spectacular bike trail. Taste as many wines as you like: they’re driving. You will be picked up from your winery of choice at 4:30 PM for the shuttle back to Queenstown.
 
Total biking distance is 7-17 km (depending on how many wineries you visit).

Queenstown Trail – Bike The Gibbston Valley Wineries Full Day (Self Guided Tour)

Price:  $105 per person Child:  $80 pp (aged 5 to 14 years of age) : $50/E-bike upgrade
Pick up timings: Departs Queenstown 9:30 AM (10 AM in winter)
Duration: 8 Hours

This full-day, self-guided ride begins with a scenic shuttle transfer from Queenstown to the historic gold-mining village of Arrowtown. Here they cover bike fitting, trail navigation and safety, and (very importantly) winery information. Choose to enjoy one of the town’s cafes or get straight into your scenic morning ride. The trail follows the willow-lined Arrow and Kawarau rivers to the Kawarau Suspension Bridge – home of the world famous bungy jump.
 
From Bungy, spend the afternoon biking at your leisure along the Gibbston River Trail, using our informative winery map to visit as many of the cellar doors linked throughout this easy-riding trail. Enjoy a relaxed picnic en-route or lunch at one of the winery restaurants.
 
You will be collected at 4:30 PM (4:00 PM in winter) from your winery of choice for the shuttle back to Queenstown.
 
Riding distance to the first winery is 15 km and approx. 25 km to the end of the Gibbston Wine Valley. 
 
Explore Arrowtown, bridges, Bungy, wineries, a cheesery, tavern, brewery… it’s gotta be good!

 

Queenstown Trail – Arrowtown to Gibbston Valley (Self Guided Tour)

Price:  $90 per person Child:  $70 pp (aged 5 to 14 years of age) : $50/E-bike upgrade
Pick up timings: Departs Queenstown 9:30 AM or 1:00 PM (10:00 AM in winter)

Shuttle with us from Queenstown to Arrowtown. Ride along the Arrow River Trail to the historic Kawarau Bungy Bridge. From there proceed into the Gibbston Wine Valley, making your way to a designated winery from which you will be shuttled back to Queenstown.

If you feel like your legs may struggle on this half day ride, then upgrade to one of our premium Electric Bikes. Just choose this option when finalising your booking.


 

Queenstown Trail – Arrowtown to Queenstown (Self Guided)

Price:  $90 per person Child:  $65 pp (aged 5 to 14 years of age) : $50/E-bike upgrade
Pick up timings: Departs Queenstown at 9:00 AM (10:00 AM in winter)
Duration: approx 35 Kms – 4 Hours

Do you ride regularly and are you looking for a biking adventure? Then this is the one for you! 
 
Head-out on a shuttle from Queenstown to the historic gold-mining village of Arrowtown. You’ll be fitted to your bike, given a map and some trail tips, before setting-off on your independent adventure ride. 
 
You’ll ride past lakes and river gorges, cross a suspension bridge, and traverse the foothills of the Remarkable Mountains. The Twin Rivers Trail – named after the Kawarau and Shotover rivers which it follows – offers spectacular alpine views throughout. 
 
Along the way there are cafe stops and even a brewery to keep you refreshed. The last section of the ride is on a gentle, flowing trail along the edge of Lake Whakatipu back into Queenstown.
 
The ride is 35 KM with a few decent hills. It is recommended for confident riders with a moderate level of fitness. E-bikes are available.

 

Queenstown Bike Hire
