Our Wine Tours with Culture are the most popular, combining the history of the land with the modern success of the beautiful wines of Central Otago. You will receive the authentic culture & wine experience, visiting boutique and more personalised wineries in the Wanaka, Tarras, Cromwell and Queenstown area with a high likelihood of the wine maker hosting. There are 3 tour options available to suit your needs.
Experience the Hongi and specially designed Wanaka Haka at the Wanaka Tree and feel the passion of the culture. A unique opportunity to see and feel the Tangata Whenua (people of the land). Take a personalised 1/2 day cycling tour on the beautiful “Millennium track of Lake Wanaka”, to ride where the magestic mountains meet the lake. We also offer a half day tour to the beautiful Cromwell and Bannockburn wineries from Wanaka with commentary of the original Maori footprint here in Central Otago. Experience 3-4 wineries and why many of them are award winning wines, and take in Old Cromwell Town.

Currently we have a 1:00pm option available due to winery hours. You will receive the authentic New Zealand wine experience, visiting two to three incredible Central Otago wineries in the W?naka area. This opportunity is perfect if you are on a tight time schedule or desire a pre-lunch or pre dinner wine tour with approx 10-13 tastings of some incredible Central Otago Pinot, Pinot Gris, Sav Blanc, Chardonnay and more. The Wine tour with Culture Queenstown is the only wine tour in Queenstown that connects culture with the local wines and land where you receive the authentic New Zealand experience. You will visit three boutique and more personalised Central Otago wineries in the Queenstown area with approximately 16-20 wine tastings and food. This is the only wine tour in Central Otago that offers both the wine experience with the culture footprint including the potential LIVE Haka experience. Don’t delay, BOOK NOW. WanaHaka – E-Bike Wine Tour with Culture
Price: $149 pp
Departs: 11:00 am Wanaka
Duration: 3 Hours 30 minutes
“We depart Wanaka at 12:30pm, (meeting at 12:15pm for E-Bike Set up and safety review with location to be advised) with the greeting the Hongi and the importance in establishing the connection with New Zealand and the land (unfortunately due to contact and safety restrictions the Hongi may be explained only), then with a 20 minute cycle to Rippon Vineyard where we discuss the M?ori footprint of the region and you start your first tastings where the view will take your breath away where a selection of Pinot Noir, Pinot Gris, Sav Blanc, Osteiner and more will be in tasting through the day. We then jump back, or slide your choice! on our E-Bikes and cycle to Maude tasting room, then we visit Aitkens Folly vineyard for more tasting with our cycle back to Wanaka CBD arriving approx 3:30/4:00pm. We will cover approximately 20.5km on our E-Bikes and calories out could match calories in! Along this E-Bike tour you will get an insight into the footprint and history from many hundreds of years ago of the beautiful Otago region along with combining the wonderful present being the beautiful wines of this region. This is a Wedding welcome group option to the beautiful Central Otago region of Wanaka and Queenstown with a set fee regardless of the number of your guests. This is more personalised towards YOUR wedding and to provide your guests with a unique Maori culture experience to include in your special day here in New Zealand.
