The only experience of its kind in New Zealand

Do you want to be the captain of your boat? Then rent a doughnut boat and head off the shore of Lake Taupo in New Zealand’s only doughnut boats. 

Grab your wine and cheese or beer and pizza, nominate your captain from your group (of up to 6 people) and jump aboard! Our boats are super easy and safe to operate and can cruise up to 5 knots. 

Our eco-friendly Doughboats will take family and friends, young and old, on a unique and fun experience. The electric engine is as quiet as possible so that you can enjoy your music on our Bluetooth speakers. 

Book an evening session for a lit-up experience, and our boats have multicoloured lights that enhance your Doughboat cruise. You don’t need any previous experience or a license! 

Our rental sessions are two hours long select time to suit when booking.
It is $165NZD for two people, and $22 NZD per additional person (up to 6).
Children under 6 are free.

We’re New Zealand’s first and only doughnut boats, providing you with an iconic boating experience on beautiful Lake Taupo. 

Our boats are doughnut-shaped so that you can sit around a big table with your significant other or a group of friends. Grab a meal and bring it on board with some drinks to enjoy during your cruise. Alcohol is permitted.

We are located at berth 21 at the Taupo Boat Harbour on Redoubt St. We are within walking distance from the town centre.
